The U5/Beginner division of the Timbits Softball is for all players who will be turning 4 & 5 in the current season. The program has several unique rules that are in place to help create a fun and active environment for skill development. The U5 program runs one evening per week. Each U5 team will have their one hour session on the same day every week. The hour is based on Softball Canada Lesson Plans and is split into 40 minutes of skill development and 20 minutes of a lead up game. Lead up games take an aspect of softball and turn it into a game amongst team members. U5 uses the same honking 1st base as Blast Ball. Equipment needed: Glove and batting helmet |
